Summit Education Foundation serves as the unifying catalyst – money, time, and people – to enhance innovative education and excellence in the Summit School District.
In just its first full year of existence, SEF raised more than $100,000 in funding for Summit School District.
INNOVATIVE TEACHER PROJECTS - OVER $9,000 IN FUNDING
Grants between $500 and $2,500 were made available for projects that demonstrated innovation and creativity to achieve academic enrichment.
NEW HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP
The SEF Scholarship is open to all graduating seniors of SHS and will be awarded at the annual scholarship awards ceremony held each April.
DISTRICT ALLOCATION OF $60,000 SEF DONATION TOWARDS TECHNOLOGY
Last Spring, SEF raised over $60,000 through our MINI Cooper Giveaway and Adult Spelling Bee. As a result, the district has hired two part time district Technology Coaches for the 2011-2012 school year.
SUMMIT STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Recent Summit STEM achievements include Dr. Karl Topper opening a STEM center at Dillon Valley Elementary, working with CSU to provide curriculum and resources to the district, and grant requests for school STEM supplies.
